“In the begging, God crated the haven and the ear.”

I saw something the other day at my favourite used bookstore, that I am so tempted to buy I can almost taste it: a Reader’s Digest Bible.

See, I want to do a comparison, because I want to know what they left out.

I glanced at the start of it, and it had “In the beginning” and all that, and said nothing like “God created the heavens and the earth in five days”, or that Moses wandered in the desert for 25 years, or that there were only four plagues (although, if there were only four plagues, I think I’d choose to leave out the locusts, the boils, and the blood).

I think I’ll buy it as next week’s treat, instead of more pudding.
